Hello all,
Just wanted to share the good news. 80. I actually opened the email, then covered my eyes. I didn't want to see "failed", it was such a shock to see 80. I cried...lol. Anyway just wanted to thank everybody here who helped me. I thought if I passed it will be 75 or 76, if I failed it would be 74, so 80 is such a motivation for me to keep working hard and pass all the other exams. Its a bittersweet moment for me because my AUD just expired, and now I still have 3 more to go, but I'm glad FAR is done.
Ok so here is the useful information. I dedicated 40-45 min to each testlet. I knew for sure I did about 18 questions correct in first testlet. Then testlet 2 was harder. The questions were still short and looked simple, but the wording was just so confusing I did about 12 correct (in my estimation). Then testlet 3 was easier, so I knew I didn't do well on testlet 2. But I did really good with testlet 3. I read the questions many times, double triple checked all my answers. Even the ones I didn't know, once I started reading the questions 5 times, I started picking out key words from the questions and matching them to the key words from the answers and giving my best guesses.
I had left little less than 1:30 for simulations. I divided my remaining time in 7, so that gave me about 8 minutes per questions. I think we try to leave as much time to simulations, but we don't actually divide them to each simulation questions. I thought this was a good idea.
This was my 3rd time taking FAR. 55, 69 and 80. Some of the materials were little confusing the first time around, but 2nd and 3rd time, things were making more sense, and I was remembering more stuff. I did improve each time I studied more, so please don't give up hope. YOU can do it!
